Sportsmonster is a leading adult rec. sports league in Chicagoland and 10 other metropolitan areas in the U.S.

We followed two teams through their seasons, conducting primary research to uncover user perspectives and exploring desirable innovations in the short and long term.

To accommodate a wide range of user requirements, strategic approaches for defining product platforms need to be incorporated in the design process.

We applied methodologies to define prouct platforms and then suggested a path forward with a segmented offering for a saturated marketplace.

Strategic planning is changing and now rapidly coming to embrace innovation issues and expertise.

The Fall 2006 Design Planning class broke in to teams to highlight the demonstrably superior innovation capabilities and systems that a world class Innovation Center would possess.

Contrary to employees and investors, customers and potentials view companies from a brand perspective first.

This project is an analysis of the multiple assets that combine to communicate a brand.

a solo research project completed for Communication Planning.
Homelessness is a complex issue encompassing multiple facets of society.

Benchmark is a mobile cart that provides the homeless storage by day and a place to rest by night. Much of it is made of pre-existing objects, the parts that are not are inexpensive to manufacture.

a solo research and design project completed as a part of foundation year Product Design studies.
Chicago Style is a multi-media project completed as a part of foundation year Communication Design studies. A book and exhibit were also made as part of the project.

All of the field research was done between January and April of 2006 in Chicago. A Chicago Style hot dog was eaten at each of the six stands featured (sometimes cheese fries and a soft drink also).

As co-chair of the 2006 conference, I formed and managed a team of 33 student voulunteers, providing input on the theme, speakers, communication pieces and venue.
